Important Legislation

Construction Defect Reform! CALPASC and friends have sponsored AB 2738. If this bill passes it will motivate builders and others to buy adequate insurance for the entire project, and if they do not it will eliminate their indemnity rights. The bill will also motivate builders to hire reliable trade contractors to ensure when there is construction defect litigation they will be represented by responsible trade contractors. • There are four CALPASC chapters which are strongly affiliated with our statewide organization.
• To fight for fundamental fairness and curb the unjust transfer of risk, we advocate for residential and commercial subcontractors in the California legislative, regulatory, and judicial arenas.

• CALPASC staff and our Boards and Committees are very committed to the mission of our organization and to providing excellent member services.
